Why should I discuss the CHET with my clients?
As a trusted advisor, your clients count on you for solid financial advice. After saving for retirement, planning for a child's college education is the next big financial challenge for many of your clients. CHET is federal and Connecticut income tax-free for Connecticut residents. Your clients may be eligible for a Connecticut tax deduction, and CHET also offers estate and gift tax benefits.

 

What are the investment options?
CHET offers a choice of eight investment options: Managed Allocation Option, Aggressive Managed Allocation Option, High Equity Option,100% Equity Index Option, Social Choice Option100% Fixed-Income Option, Principal Plus Interest Option, and the Money Market Option. Effective February 18, 2008, transfers from the Principal Plus Interest Option to the Money Market Option will not be permitted. (If this restriction changes, investors will be notified prior to the effective date of any such change.)


What materials do you have available for me to use with my clients?
We are ready to provide you with the materials you need to share CHET program information with your clients. Is there compensation available to brokers for selling CHET?
No, it is offered without commissions or other fees that would be paid to an advisor.
